This Privacy Policy explains how Cutting Edge Business Solutions, LLC, doing business through Galaxyz and the Open Mic experience powered by Galaxyz (collectively, “Galaxyz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use Galaxyz.me, related Galaxyz services, or our mobile applications.

Information we collect

  • Account and profile information. If you create an account, we may collect your name, display or artist name, email address, profile image, biography, location at the city or region level, social and music links, and login information supplied through our authentication providers.
  • Content and activity. We may process releases, smartlinks, artist or venue information, EPK content, event details, comments, applications, RSVPs, saved items, uploads, and other material you choose to create or share.
  • Communications. We receive information you send to support, feedback, booking, venue, or other communication channels.
  • Technical and usage information. Our websites and production services may receive device and browser type, IP address, log data, referring pages, approximate location inferred from IP, cookie or session identifiers, and information about how features are used.
  • Transaction information. If paid services are offered, payment providers process payment details. We may receive limited transaction, subscription, and entitlement records, but we do not store full payment-card numbers.

Open Mic interactive pilot

The current Open Mic iOS TestFlight pilot does not create a production account, charge money, submit a real booking, or upload pilot profile changes to our servers. Demo actions and profile edits are stored locally on the test device. If you select a profile photo, Apple’s PhotosPicker provides access only to the item you select, and the pilot stores a compressed copy locally. Deleting the app or using its reset control removes this local pilot data.

Open Mic can perform a user-initiated Apple Maps search for possible live-music venues. The search terms and general search area are processed through Apple’s MapKit services under Apple’s privacy terms; the pilot does not request the device’s precise location. Links to DICE, Apple Maps, venue websites, telephone, email, Galaxyz, and other outside services open those services, which apply their own privacy policies.

How we use information

  • Provide, personalize, maintain, and improve our services.
  • Authenticate users, protect accounts, prevent abuse, and keep the platform secure.
  • Create and display releases, smartlinks, profiles, events, discovery results, and other user-requested experiences.
  • Process subscriptions or transactions and provide customer support.
  • Measure performance, troubleshoot errors, and understand aggregate product usage.
  • Send service messages and, where permitted, product or event communications that you can opt out of.
  • Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect users, artists, venues, Galaxyz, and others.

How information may be shared

We may share information with vendors that help us provide hosting, authentication, storage, email, analytics, customer support, payments, mapping, music-link resolution, media delivery, and security. They may use information only to provide services to us and as permitted by their agreements and applicable law.

Information you intentionally publish—such as an artist profile, release, smartlink, event, venue page, comment, or public EPK—may be visible to anyone. We may also share information at your direction, to comply with valid legal process, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use data from the Open Mic interactive pilot for cross-app advertising or tracking.

Cookies and similar technologies

Galaxyz.me may use cookies and similar technologies for login, security, preferences, media playback, analytics, and core site operation. Browser settings can limit cookies, but some account and platform features may then stop working correctly.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business and security records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and why it was collected. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information. You can edit available profile fields in the service and can contact us for additional requests. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate business records.

The Open Mic interactive pilot creates no production account. Pilot data can be removed through Account → Reset Interactive Pilot or by deleting the app. Galaxyz account and privacy requests can be sent to info@galaxyz.me.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

International use

Galaxyz is based in the United States. If you use the services from another country, information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
